Heya, I’m Novera.
I’m an experienced developmental editor, story director, and creative writing instructor with sharp narrative instincts that I’ve honed over a decade of advising writers on literary, interactive, and dramatic projects. I love the art of telling stories: the craft of bringing the vision in one’s imagination to fruition on the page, the care required to discover and vividly depict unforgettable characters, the process of puzzling out snags that keep a story from soaring. I excel at supporting writers’ efforts to elevate their distinctive voices, clarify their visions, and refine their craft.
I’m a writer. I understand what it is to put yourself on the page, what it takes to elevate a spark of inspiration into tangible art, and the resilience required to not just receive feedback but fashion it into a tool that works best for your work.
I’m an obsessive, voracious story nerd. I read widely and deeply. I can talk for hours about themes, characters, voice, plot, and potential. And I’ve yet to meet a story problem I couldn’t help someone see a way through.
If I sound like a partner you might want to have, drop me a line!
